During the workshop, we will explore Amos Waites Park, connecting with the beauty of the natural environment that often goes unnoticed and tuning into the diverse ways we interact and move through it. Based on what emerges in the discussion, Natalie will offer drawing directives to assist each participant through their own personal creative process. Inspired by the artwork of the participants and the conversations in the workshop, Natalie will create a design that reflects shared ideas and values. During the first week of July, Mimico Square will become a collective canvas for a ground mural in preparation for this year's Dance Together Festival. Participating in mural painting sessions will be a chance for any and all community members to leave a significant mark in their own neighbourhood and complete a large-scale design.
All supplies provided, no experience necessary.
Spots are limited, please sign up by June 2nd, 2022. Residents of Mimico and South Etobicoke will be prioritized but all are welcome to apply!
