Experience the timeless village folk melodies from Ukraine and neighbouring Slavic, Baltic, Balkan & Finno-Ugric cultures of Europe with Kryva Kosa playing live!
Kryva Kosa is a collective of musicians & artists who are here to share the folk music traditions from their diverse backgrounds. They play live music, teach folk dances at upbeat public socials, and create interactive spaces for musical exchange and learning. "Kryva Kosa" means "crooked scythe" in Ukrainian. They have performed and taught at the Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival, Drom Taberna, Kosa Folk Arts Melanka and recently finished a four month residency at Hart House UofT.
*This event is free for participants thanks to the support of Arts in the Parks Toronto.
