Alexandra "Niyi" Tauhid's dance journey began in her Nigerian cultural upbringing, where music and movement were part of everyday life. Since 2017, she's been active in the freestyle hip-hop community worldwide - training and competing in dance battles across Canada, USA and Europe. Her dynamic presence has earned her notable appearances, including a feature on Breakfast Television, a performance at the prestigious Toronto Jazz Festival, and recent collaboration in curating & teaching hip-hop workshop at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Beyond the stage, Niyi loves teaching workshops, curating sessions, events and battles to celebrate hip-hop culture. She has taught dance for all ages, sharing not just moves but the spirit of community.
